My kids beg me on a daily basis to have more brothers and sisters for them.  My husband and I have tried to space the kids about 2 1/2 to 3  years apart because I have Chron's disease, and it often takes a toll on my energy level.  So, we try to space the kids so that I can keep up with them!  However, we are open to whatever God gives us, and know that He will not give us more than we can handle!  So today on the way to the grocery store my conversation with the kids went something like this:

Molly:  Mom, when am I going to get a sister?
Me:  When God gives you one.
Molly:  How did Uncle Jon get four kids, and we only got three?
Me:  Uncle Jon is older than me, and so they have been having kids longer then me.
How many kids do you think we need?
Luke: six kids!
Molly:  I think we should have 10!
Me:  Wow!  That's a lot of mouths to feed!  How in the world would I feed all of you?  (I'm thinking about the grocery bill here!)
Luke:  Aw...that's easy mom.  Just get a bigger table and some more chairs!

I had a good laugh at that!  I love how uncomplicated the life of a child is!

Oh...and God IS blessing Molly with a sister! I didn't know you had Crohn's, Julie! My brother in law has it really bad. How do you treat yours?
